Bilanční územní celky (BUC) jsou dílčí statistické celky vytvořené spojením příslušných základních sídelních jednotek (ZSJ) na základě logických vazeb v území z hlediska veřejné vybavenosti se zohledněním přiměřené velikosti a územní celistvosti, vnitřních dopravních vazeb, přírodních i umělých bariér a respektován hranic městských částí. Hlavním smyslem BUC je rozdělení velkých městských částí do menších územní celků pro analýzu veřejné vybavenosti.
